'i miss u said the lol cats' is an exhibition using our fuzzy feline friends to talk about (less) fuzzy things. Cats appear everywhere and in eVeRy mood - they were once worshipped as gods, now the spirit animals of the internet, my fave pose in yoga, and the thing we fear being eaten alive by when no one texts us back (lol).

When I was little, I said I wanted to marry my Aunt's cat when I grew up. It was my first eva love and loss, and it set the bar for partners ever since. Cats inhabit and animate our scenes of domestic bliss, which we shape our feels and our families around. But why is it not ok to be left alone with our kitties? From ‘crazy cat lady’ shaming, to Trump’s choice of gendered language for political shading, the feline is appropriated as a source of offence for the femme. Luckily the lol cats are here to rescue us - there is a kitteh meme to soothe every scenario. i miss u said the lol cats shows 12 artists, using kitties as a way to explore identity, feminism, feelings and family, and finally answers the age old question ‘if i fits do i sits?’
