I’ve facillitated workshops with a variety of people and ages making banners and flags. I have worked with LGBTQ+ youth groups, mental health service users, toddlers and university students. The workshop can be made accessible for those with no sewing skills, or flags can be personalised with more flare and sewing skills if desired! Usually we focus the banners around a theme such as protest or identity. I then guide people through the design and sewing process. The workshop can be a ‘stand alone’ event, or several sessions building towards a larger, more finished banner.
